The MSSC’s CT-SCA Certification is a nationally portable, industry-led, training and certification system that enables both students and incumbent workers to gain the skills needed to meet the definition of a supply chain automation technician.

Description

Developed through a partnership with the National Center for Supply Chain Automation (NCSCA), Material Handling Industry (MHI), Material Handling Distributors Association (MHEDA), Amatrol, and NOCTI Business Solutions, this program will train technicians to install, operate, and support the automated material handling equipment and systems which support the supply chain.

This program will enable certificants to earn 3 prestigious industry recognized certifications:

CT-SCA -EM
Certification in Equipment Maintenance

  • Implement and remove equipment/system safety protocols
  • Identify and operate major automated equipment/systems
  • Monitor machine/system operation
  • Ensure key parts and components are available in inventory
  • Implement & perform preventative maintenance
  • Establish monitoring and maintenance schedule for equipment/lubrication condition
  • Safely use hand tools to maintain equipment
  • Communicate with co-workers to promote productivity
  • Perform technical and administrative duties

CT-SCA – ER
Certification in Equipment Repair

  • Install and maintain PLCs and PLC modules
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLCs with discrete I/O PLC modules
  • Modify, troubleshoot, or manipulate standard PLC operating programs and test/verify them for correct operation
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC systems with variable frequency AC drives
  • Operate and test equipment network system, scanners, and run systems

CT-SCA – NR
Certification in Network Repair

  • Troubleshoot machines – mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems
  • Prepare for repair
  • Repair – mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems
  • Install, move, or remove equipment
