Description

The purpose of the Certified Production Technician (CPT) program is to recognize through certification individuals who demonstrate mastery of the core competencies of manufacturing production at the front-line (entry-level through front-line supervisor) through successful completion of the certification assessments.

CPT prepares students for high-performance, technologically-advanced production jobs and is the only certification for production workers that is accredited under ISO Standard 17024.

MSSC’s full Certified Production Technician (CPT) certification consists of 5 stackable credentials: Safety & Employability, Manufacturing Process & Production, Quality Practices & Measurement, Maintenance Awareness, and Green Production.

The CPT Plus certification compliments the full CPT credential by providing employees with proof that an individual has the comprehensive technical knowledge and hands-on skills needed to be qualified production technicians. While there is no requirement to purchase training before taking an assessment, MSSC has also developed five training courses which combine interactive, online training with instructor-led material to help individuals learn the basic skills and knowledge required for manufacturing jobs.
